I was outside watering the gardens and heard crows cawing. I spotted them on the roof of a nearby house. I ran inside to grab my camera but by the time I came back outside, they had moved on.
On the way back inside, I saw another interesting bird on another roof, and then suddenly this big, kerosone-burning bird on its way to Chicago was heard and popped out of the trees for a few seconds before disappearing into the clouds. I managed to quickly snap a few photos of this unexpected guest, and I’m quite pleased with the result.
This particular aircraft, interestingly, was involved in a little mishap with a snowplow in 2005.
